today for Grand Theft Auto IV for the PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360™. These patches fix the issues we have identified for each system, specifically multiplayer connectivity issues including freezes during certain modes, continuation when players leave matches, and bugs within races and race lobbies.

1. Fixed an issue where players were unable to enter or exit vehicles in GTA Race.
2. Fixed an issue where scripted vehicles were causing games to unexpectedly crash.
3. Improved reliability and frequency of PS3™ online leaderboard updates.
4. Fixed a rare hang some players encountered when moving from a Race or GTA Race lobby into gameplay.
5. Fixed a hang that would occur when players were switching teams during the countdown in the lobby.
6. Fixed an issue where players were able to get ridiculously high scores from Cops 'n Crooks matches.
7. Changed GTA Race and Race so that the last player remaining always receives a reward of $250.
8. Fixed an issue where spectating players would prevent the game from finishing.
9. Fixed an issue where players were unable to spectate in Round 2 of Cops 'n Crooks games.
10. Changed countdown timer in lobby so that it no longer resets when new players join a game.
11. Changed the kick option so that kicked players are no longer brought back to single player.

Over the weekend of September 26th - 28th Xbox 360 owners will have the chance to partake in an extra-special experience. A weekend long multiplayer "chaos" on Grand Theft Auto IV will be going on over Xbox Live, and not only will you be able to play against thousands of other game owners, but 26 of the developers at Rockstar Games and Rockstar North will also be online versing players all around the world. The Rockstar Games Social Club is hosting the event, and will also be giving away some pretty niffy prizes also. In-order to go into the draw for prizes, you must be a Social Club member, if your not one you can register now at socialclub.rockstargames.com. You must log into your Social Club account before the end of the Weekend (that is the 28th Sept.) or you will not be eligible.

All eligible members will be automatically go into the draw to win the grand prize, a package containing a high-end home entertainment system valued at over $6,000 and the runner-up prize package including a limited-edition, customized, Grand Theft Auto IV-branded Xbox 360 as well as much more Grand Theft Auto IV gear. The event is open to anybody with an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, however in-order to be eligible for the prizes you must be an American or Canadian resident and over 18 years of age.

Everybody who registers and takes part throughout the weekend will get an exclusive gamer pic from Microsoft. Microsoft will also be giving away 24 prizes each day, all of which is Grand Theft Auto gamer gear, such as shirts, stickers and merchandise.
