EA and Criterion Games are returning to the roots of the Burnout franchise for Burnout CRASH! or rather, they're returning to the popular Crash Mode from previous Burnout's, with a top-down XBLA game. Taking its cue from the series' crash junctions, you'll destroy traffic and scenery as you strive to rack up as much damage as possible, venting your road rage as the dollar value of the havoc you're causing skyrockets.
Burnout CRASH! will include Autolog support, so you can throw down the gauntlet and compete against your friends for high scores. You can also compete in the all-new Autolog Challenge mode, where you can go head to head.
"Burnout CRASH! is a crazy mix of pinball and game shows," said Richard Franke, Creative Director on Burnout CRASH! "We've evolved the core gameplay which everyone loved about Crash Mode, and expanded the whole experience using music, style and Autolog to create what we feel is the most mindless fun you can have on any gaming platform."
Featuring three game modes spread across 18 crash junctions in six locations, you'll unlock new vehicles as you employ various tactics for each junction to rack up the big scores and get to the top of the Crashwall. Finally, Burnout CRASH! will also include a Kinect feature for two teams in a party play mode using the motion sensor.
Burnout CRASH! is slated for an autumn 2011 release on the Xbox Live Arcade. Pricing has yet to be confirmed.
